Andy and I bought a house (which is great), however, our current house is now filled with boxes. Most empty, some filled. How do 2 people accumulate so much stuff? There is stuff that is 'everyday' (mainly essential items); 'rainyday' stuff (in case of emergency or boredom) and 'other' stuff (souveniers, tat, dubious xmas gifts - not that we're ungrateful, but who uses an automatic shoe polisher???).

2. So we're moving house and picking up the keys next Thursday, fabulouso!! Then we have to move...change addresses with utility companies...speak to an automated voice (press 1, press 2 for blah blah blah).

3. Our friends get married in 2 weeks time, this is soo exciting, really looking forward to the day and the party...but what to wear??? Decisions decisions. I seem to spend every moment mulling this over. Its only clothes...but it has to be right, not too over-dressed, not too casual. If you're reading this, any ideas would be appreciated!

4. Went shopping today for aforementioned wedding outfit. Debenhams, lots of choice, not very good sales assistants though. I did see an almost perfect outfit displayed on a poster, after finding an assistant I was advised that the items advertised were part of the Christmas stock and would not be in the store until November - which was no good to me. I did buy a dress (back-up option, not really me but the colour was nice) and as the dress was a "sale item", the assistant said I was only entitled to a credit note if the dress was returned. Must check my statutory rights. So walking the length and back again of MeadowHall, with people dawdling, kids screaming and me having a tantrum) didnt make a very pleasant afternoon. I appreciate there are more in-depth subjects to worry and stress about but I havent got time for them today.

5. Last point now (5 is a nice number to end on), this was all exacerbated by the fact that I am recovering from a cold. I went to work on Wednesday night and my colleague was full of lurgy. He came to work on Thursday and was ill enough for him to go home in the afternoon (why he came to work in the first place I dont know). As a consequence, I caught his cold (although science bods state that you "cannot catch a cold".

Righto, oh my gosh, it's 23:22...I have work at 7am, bye.

The start of things to come???

Up until recently, the mere thought of having a blog was ridiculous to me....but here I am my first post! I intend that having a blog will be "something to do" when I have a "spare few minutes", however, like many of my other hobbies, I'll probably lose interest.

The idea of keeping an on-line diary that complete strangers can read is quite frankly strange, weird but ever more common in today's society...however, I can type quicker than I can write and at least this way I'm not using any paper, so saving the environment...although I am using electricity to power this laptop!!

Anyway, my mother always said "little and often", so that's me done for today.
